About
#UequalsUDanceChallenge

#UequalsUDanceChallenge is a youth-led initiative that uses music, hand dance, and social media to make U=U more accessible and engaging for young people. First launched in 2024 as part of the UNAIDS Asia Pacific World AIDS Day campaign, the project began with an original U=U song and hand dance. In 2026, with support from the International AIDS Society, it entered a new phase focused on cross-cultural translation, local adaptation, and wider dissemination across Asian contexts.

We make HIV science simple and sharable.

We create with young people, for young people.

We move the message across languages and cultures.

#UequalsUDanceChallenge 1.0

#UequalsUDanceChallenge 2.0

#UequalsUDanceChallenge 2.0 brings the U=U song into new languages, local contexts, and youth communities through music, movement, social media, and offline engagement. This phase begins in three Asian contexts, each shaped by local collaboration, translation, and community participation.
